TEMPE, Ariz. - Three Sun Devils were named to the 2001 Pac-10 Women's Basketball All-Academic teams, announced this week by Commissioner Tom Hansen.
Junior forward Leah Combs, who carries a 3.94 cumulative grade-point average, was a first-team selection, Arizona State's first first-team selection since 1990. She was an honorable-mention selection last season.
Senior guard Natalie Tucker earned the third second-team All-Academic honor of her career, while sophomore guard Brett Leonard was an honorable-mention honoree.
To be eligible for selection to the all-academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and be either a starter or significant contributor.
