Arizona State senior infielder/righthanded pitcher was honored as Pac-10 Southern Division Pitcher of the Week.
Leon (San Luis, Arizona) in his first start of the 1998 season and only his third appearance of the year, handed top-ranked Stanford its first loss of the season in a 4-2 decision on Sunday. Leon pitched 6.1 innings, allowed six hits, one earned run, two walks while striking out five.
It is the first Pitcher of the Week honor for Leon.
