LAS VEGAS – Fifth-ranked Sun Devil Baseball’s game against UNLV on Tuesday night at Wilson Stadium in Las Vegas has been suspended due to inadequate lighting. The game will resume at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, with Arizona State leading, 5-2, in the bottom of the third inning.
The two teams traded runs in the opening inning before the Devils tallied four in the top of the second to take an early four-run lead, 5-1. The Rebels scored once in the second to cut their deficit to three and had the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the third before play was suspended.
Starting right-hander Hever Bueno had three strikeouts in his first career start, including two in the opening inning to strand runners at the corners.
Seven different Sun Devils notched a hit through the first three innings, including a two-run single by second baseman Andrew Snow and a double by designated hitter RJ Ybarra.

The Sun Devils host Arizona for a three-game home series April 11-13. Saturday’s game will be televised by ESPNU and is set for a 7:30 p.m. start, while Sunday and Monday’s games will be carried on Pac-12 Networks. First pitch on Sunday is at 5 p.m. and Monday is slated to start at 7 p.m. All three home games will be broadcast by NBC Sports Radio AM 1060 with Tim Healey and Seth Dhaenens on the call.
