Arizona State junior lefthanded pitcher Phill Lowery was honored as Pac-10 Southern Division Pitcher of the Week.
Lowery (Petaluma, California) picked up his fifth win of the season as he pitched 7.0 innings of two-hit ball and allowed one run (earned) while walking one and striking out a season-high 12 batters in ASU's 6-1 victory over California. He held Cal's hitters to a .087 batting average and retired 19 of the first 21 batters he faced.
It is the first Pitcher of the Week honor for Lowery.
