Mills and Beinbrink Preseason All-Americans

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State is ranked fifth in Collegiate Baseball's Preseason Baseball poll, the first prognostication of the season. The Sun Devils are one of three Six-Pac schools ranked among the nation's top 10. Additionally, Collegiate Baseball named Sun Devil pitcher Ryan Mills and third baseman Andrew Beinbrink second-team All-Americans.

Stanford enters the season as Collegiate Baseball's top-ranked squad with Louisiana State, Florida, Miami and ASU rounding out the top five.The Sun Devils came within two outs of a College World Series appearance in 1997, falling to Miami in the Hurricanes home park in the regional finals.

Mills, a left-handed junior, was 5-3 with a 2.88 ERA while striking out 103 in 97.0 innings in 1997. Beinbrink, also a junior, hit .380 with 72 RBI last season.
