TEMPE, Ariz.—Arizona State wrestling’s redshirt junior Blake Stauffer, an All-American and Pac-12 Champion at 184 pounds, was named the 2015 Pac-12 Wrestler of the Year, the league announced on Thursday.
The Neosho, Mo., native went 37-3 on the season and extended his career record to 80-19.
This marks the 17th conference Wrestler of the Year accolade all-time for ASU, and the first since Anthony Robles was awarded the honor in 2011.
In March, Stauffer became ASU’s first All-American since 2011 as he placed fourth at the 2015 NCAA Wrestling Championships in St. Louis, Mo. Stauffer went 6-2 on the weekend and helped ASU to a 29th-place team finish.
