ON LAST SHOT BY JONAH MATHEWS:
"Well he stood underneath him. On the last shot, it was definitely a foul because a guy stood underneath him when he shot it. I am not going to cut on the officials or say anything negative. But, in our opinion, that is a foul. I am not going to say anything more about it."
ON ONYEKA OKONGWU GETTING THREE SHOTS:
“Well, they did a good job double-teaming. O (Okongwu) and Nick (Rakocevic) had guys sealed on their back a few times and our guards did not throw them the ball. I know they got frustrated. But, we have to give our big guys the ball when they are open. When they double-team and try to take O from getting shot attempts, we have to kick the ball out and not turn it over. Our big guys had their share of turnovers, just like the guards. So, we have to do a better job at playing team basketball.”
ON TURNOVERS CAUSING MOMENTUM FOR OTHER TEAM:
“I thought we lost our composure midway through the second half. They took the lead, then they regained it. Then, we retook the lead. After that, we made a big mistake when Ethan (Anderson) threw the ball away. We have to execute. Our guys need to execute the play.”
ON TRYING TO SALVAGE A SPLIT ON THE ROAD:
“I think they are all important. This league is very tough, especially on the road. We just want to take it game by game. We do not value any games more than others. Obviously, when you have a chance to win certain games, you would like to win them. We have won a few close games this year and lost a few close games.”
ON TURNOVERS:
“There were just too many. I am not sure how many turnovers we had against the press. I know Isaiah (Mobley) had one when they called an offensive foul. Also, Ethan threw the ball away around 2:30. So, other than that, I am not sure.
ON MOOD COMING BACK TO LOS ANGELES:
“It was a tough road trip. We lost a close game to Arizona and a buzzer-beater game here. So, it was a tough road trip.
