The Arizona State volleyball team will host a 12-team Classic on Saturday, April 1 in P.E. East Gym from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participating teams include Arizona State, Arizona, Washington, Washington State, Texas Tech, SMU, Northern Arizona, UTEP, New Mexico State, New Mexico, Wyoming and the ASU Alumnae team.
The action will take place on four courts with pool play and cross-over matches. The experimental scoring will take place (two games to 35 - rally scoring, in the event of a tie, a six-point game will be played).
Arizona State will feature its outside hitting tandem of Amanda Burbridge and Jami Coughlin as well as middle blockers Julia Leddy and Robin Mattingly. Becky Sidoti will handle the setting duties with Michelle Mortensen playing on the right side.
ASU finished 14-13 in 1999, bowing out to Wisconsin in NCAA tournament action.
