TEMPE, Ariz. - Addison Doud, a member of the Arizona State University water polo team, has been selected to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Honorable Mention All-America team, the Association announced Friday. The accolade is the first for Doud in her two-year career at ASU and just the third in the history of the Sun Devil program.
Doud is the second Sun Devil to earn Honorable Mention All-America accolades after Katie Davis earned honorable mention honors at the end of the 2004 season. Last year, Rowie Webster earned a place on the Third Team, marking the highest selection in the history of the program.
Doud, who also was selected to the Honorable Mention All-MPSF Team earlier this year, led the team in scoring this year as she netted a team-high 54 goals and added 34 assists for a team-best 88 points, the most in a single season in program history. Her goal and assist totals also rank as the second-most in a single-season at ASU. Doud also set up numerous other scoring opportunities for her teammates as she drew 95 kick-outs on the season to put the Sun Devils into 6-on-5 advantage situations.
For her career, Doud ranks in the Top 5 in the three scoring categories as she ranks third in career goals with 93, stands fourth in points with 136 and is fifth in career assists with 43 total.
