ASU: A two-sport athlete, as he is also a sprinter on the ASU track and field team...older brother, Avory, is a running back for the Sun Devils...will provide depth at wide receiver in 2009.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Ariz....a two-sport standout at Desert Vista, playing football and track and field...helped the football team reach the 5A-I state title game as a senior, playing on both sides of the ball...tallied 2,771 all-purpose yardage in his prep career...averaged a staggering 26.4 yards per reception, hauling in 924 yards on only 35 career catches...recorded a career-high 195 yards receiving on only four catches in the first game of his junior year...totaled 1,130 yards rushing on 133 career carries...scored 22 total touchdowns, 14 rushing and eight receiving...added 68 tackles as a defensive back along with two interceptions...a highly-accomplished track and field star, he helped the Thunder win back-to-back 5A-I state titles in track and field in 2007 and 2008...captured four individual state championships, winning the 100m dash, 200m dash, and 400m dash as a junior and successfully defending his 400m dash title as a senior...also anchored the state-champion 4x400m relay teams as a junior and senior...selected as the 2007 Arizona Republic and East Valley Tribune Male Track Athlete of the Year...ran the 100m dash in 10.43 seconds and was part of Arizona's winning 4x100m relay team at the 2008 Great Southwest Track and Field Classic.
PERSONAL: Exploratory major...parents are Greg and Anna Battle...has three brothers: Avory, Anders and Adonis...comes from a Sun Devil family, as father, Greg, played football for ASU from 1982-85, and mother, Anna, was a member of the ASU track & field (2x All-American) and basketball teams...born Nov. 9, 1989, in Phoenix, Ariz....hobbies include drawing and spending time with friends.
