#3 ASU Water Polo Overcomes #10 SJSU on Senior Day

The Sun Devils overcame a 5-2 first quarter deficit to come back and defeat the Spartans, 11-8.

2012: Brightwell led the team with 75 goals in the 2012 season... added 21 assists bringing her point total to 96...second on the team in steals with 27...earned All-American and All-MPSF First-Team accolades of her career as she was named a member of the first-team after putting together one of the greatest single-seasons in ASU history...finished the season as the MPSF's top scorer with 75 goals and her 2.78 goals per game were tops in the conference as well... earned Outstanding accolades as she posted a 3.83 GPA in general studies... finished the 2012 campaign with the school's second-most single season goals scored despite missing several games to due injury or illness and paced the conference in both goals scored and goals per game...joined Addison McGrath as just the second Sun Devil in school history to earn first-team honors after McGrath did so in 2008... notched 96 points on the year as well, a mark that also ranks second to McGrath's school record. ..scored three or more goals in 18 games on the year, including matching a school record with seven in the team's 12-11 victory over San Diego State in the fifth-place game at the MPSF Championships that helped the team to its best finish in school history... named to the MPSF All-Conference First-Team for her performance on the year and was also part of the MPSF All-Tournament team for her contributions during the postseason tournament.

Before Arizona State: Competed for the Australian senior national team in 16 international games... helped the team to a second place finish at the 2010 World League Finals in San Diego... guided her team to a first place finish at the 2010 SydneyInternational tournament.. competed for Australia at the 2011 University Games and helped her team to a fifth place finish and was named MVP of the Australian team for the tournament... was a member of the University of SydneyNational Leaguewater polo team and earned aSydney UniversityBlues award for Outstanding Sporting Achievement in 2009...
