2013 (Sophomore): Started the first seven games of the season before coming out of the bullpen in his final seven appearances...threw 4.1 scoreless innings in a win over Cal (5/11), allowing just two hits...had a season-high five innings pitched and allowed just one earned run and struck out four against Gonzaga early in the season in a game that ended in a tie after eight innings...had a season-high six strikeouts against BYU (5/21) in a relief effort pitching 3 2/3 innings while allowing only one earned run...posted his first win of the season against Long Beach State (3/10) after tossing 4 1/3 innings of two runs off six hits with a pair of strikeouts...earned Scholar Baller recognition in Spring 2013.
2012 (Freshman): Appeared in five games, including two starts...went 2-0 in 13.2 innings pitched...was slated as the team's Sunday starter, making his first career appearance against Western Michigan on Feb. 18...pitched four innings and gave up two hits with five strikeouts to earn his first collegiate win...did not pitch again until March 13 due to an injury...had an almost identical second start, went four innings with five strikeouts and earned the win over Utah Valley on March 13...against Arizona in the final game of the season, came in as a reliever in the fourth inning and pitched 3.2 scoreless innings to help the Sun Devils rally and tie the game.
High School: A 2011 graduate of Bonita High School...finished his career with a 13-4 record, including a complete game one-hitter in the CIF championship...was a First Team All-League pick in 2010.
MLB Draft: Selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 14th round (448th overall) of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.
