Women's Gymnastics
(John Spini/20th Year): Finished with a 13-4 dual meet record, 4-2 in Pac-10 competition ... placed fourth at the Pac-10 Championships in Tempe and third at the NCAA Region 3 Championships in Tucson ... went undefeated at Wells Fargo Arena, including victories over second-ranked Alabama and #4 Utah ... extended home winning streak to 20 meets, during which the Devils have defeated 29 opponents dating back to the 1996 season ... senior Elizabeth McNabb earned her third consecutive All-Pac-10 Team selection on the floor exercise, while sophomore Lea Carver earned her first such honor as a balance beam performer ... McNabb and Carver tied for first on the floor at the Pac-10 Championships with a score of 9.925, becoming ASU's first individual conference champions since 1996 ... the same two gymnasts tied for second place on floor (9.875) at the Region 3 meet, where Carver was also the runner up on beam at 9.875 ... junior Kelly Christensen-Cowley was named Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week for March 7-13 following performance against Arizona in which she set career highs on the uneven bars (9.925) and floor exercise (9.95) ... in the same meet, McNabb scored a 9.975 on floor, the highest mark by a Sun Devil gymnast in any event this season ... 12 Sun Devil performers set or tied their personal best score in at least one event ... McNabb earned First Team Pac-10 All-Academic honors for the second straight year ... junior Kristin Fanning was a Second Team selection, while junior Becky Acker, junior Kim Skinner and sophomore Ashley Stewart garnered Honorable Mention recognition ... collectively, gymnastics had the highest GPA of all ASU women's sports teams with 15 or fewer members.
