EUGENE, Ore.—Arizona State track and field’s 12-time All-American Shelby Houlihan qualified for the 1500m run finals on Friday at the USA Track And Field Championships at Hayward Field.
Houlihan used a late press in the first heat to finish in 4:19.51, and will run in the finals on Sunday at 2:40 p.m. PT.
Also for ASU on the track, alumna Charonda Williams finished 13th in the 100m dash semifinals at 11.10. On Saturday Williams will run in the first round of the 200m dash at 12:30 p.m. PT.
In the field, eight-time All-American Bryan McBride placed 12th in the high jump, clearing 2.15m (7-0.50).
Also in action on Saturday, redshirt freshman Magdalyn Ewen will compete in the discus finals at 12:45 p.m. PT.
