The Professional Guide Program aims to connect student-athletes to professional guides so they may gain perspective, tangible transferrable skills, and support on their journeys through college to career.  Students and professional guides are matched based on the student's interest in career track and industry.  Professional guides will serve as advisors and mentors to the student-athletes, helping them to network, develop connections, and secure employment.

Responsibilities:

• Students will determine their career interests by selecting a career track and industry of interest
• Both guides and student will report outcomes of meetings
• Students will work together with guides to explore and secure employment post-graduation
• Students will meet with their professional guides on a monthly basis
• Students must complete a 5-10 hour minimum experience to successfully complete the program 

Career Track Areas:
Traditional Career

• Students will be paired with a PG in desired position or field. The goal is for students to intern with a professional or company in the field of interest and enter the workforce after graduation.

Coaching

• Students will be part of a coaching career cohort experience. This track will still be paired with a traditional career PG.

Grad School

• Students be paired with PG in desired or similar field of interest. The goal is for students to shadow or intern with a professional in desired field before getting the required degree for that position.

Entrepreneurship

• Students will be paired with entrepreneur or business PG. The goal is for students to shadow or intern with an entrepreneur, and gain business experience before entering workforce/pursuing business startup. This track will still be paired with a traditional career PG.
