CAREER NOTES

  • Returns as ASU’s active career leader in goals (14), points (39) and game-winning goals (3) and is tied with Lucy Lara for the team lead in career assists (11).
  • Has been named All-Pac-12 honorable mention each of her first two seasons in addition to being named Pac-12 All-Freshman honors in 2014.
  • As a freshman, tied the school single-game record for goals (3).

2015

  • Played in all 18 games (17 starts) and earned Pac-12 honorable mention honors for a season in which she finished second on the team in scoring (13 points) and assists (5) and third in goals (4). Finished tied for seventh in the Pac-12 in assists per game (0.28) and ninth in points per game (0.72).
  • Scored goals in each of ASU’s first four games: vs. Portland State (Aug. 21), vs. UNLV (Aug. 28), vs. Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 4) and vs. Pepperdine (game played in Tucson – Sept. 11).
  • Assisted on Jessica Raybe’s game-tying goal in ASU’s 1-1 tie at UCLA (Oct. 11).
  • Assisted on both of ASU’s goals in 2-1 win at Colorado (Nov. 1).

2014

  • Earned Pac-12 All-Freshman honors and All-Pac-12 honorable mention notice following a stellar campaign in which she finished second on the team in both goals (10 - tied for fifth in the Pac-12) and points (26 - seventh in the Pac-12).
  • Earned Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors after being named MVP of the season opening Outrigger Resorts Shootout hosted by the University of Hawaii. Set up a penalty kick in the season opener vs. Texas (Aug. 22) and in the ensuing game vs. Hawaii (Aug. 24) tied the single-game school record with three goals in ASU’s 5-2 win. Moon also had an assist giving her seven points for the game, which tied the second-highest, single-game total in school history.
  • Scored five goals in the first five games of the season after finding the back of the net at Illinois (Aug. 29) and vs. Oklahoma State (Sept. 5). The only Sun Devil freshman to have a better start to her career was Patrice Feulner, who scored seven goals her first five games and 10 in her first six games in 2000.
  • Scored goals in consecutive games vs. New Mexico State (Sept. 12) and vs. Nevada (Sept. 14) at the Cats Classic in Tucson. Also added an assist vs. Nevada.
  • Assisted on teammate Cali Farquharson’s goal in ASU’s 1-1 tie vs. top-ranked UCLA (Sept. 26).
  • Scored her eighth goal of the season in 1-1 tie vs. Oregon (Oct. 3) and assisted on Farquharson’s GW goal in 1-0 win over Oregon State (Oct. 5).
  • Assisted on teammate Madison Stark’s first career goal in ASU’s 1-0 win over Arizona (Nov. 7).
  • Punctuated outstanding freshman campaign by scoring a pair of goals to go along with an assist in ASU’s 4-2 win over NAU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (Nov. 15).

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB

  • Team captain for three years. 
  • Was named team MVP and First-Team All League each of the last three seasons.
  • Spring 2008 - Spring 2010 played club soccer with Chelsea out of Yorba Linda, Calif.
  • At the age of 12, tried out and made U15 Gold Team and at 13 was the starting attacking midfielder for U16 premiere team. 
  • Would play for Legends G94 from Spring 2010 - Summer 2013. 
  • Helped her team to several impressive finishes including Far West Regional League fall champions (2011), USYS National League Champions (2012), Cal South National Cup Finalist (2012), USYS National Championship – Finalist (2012), USYS National League champions (2013) and Cal South National Cup champion (2013).
  • Also helped her Legends G95 squad to the 2013 Surf Cup title.
  • ODP: Member of Cal South ODP… 2008 G95 Winter Pool… 2009 G95 Winter Pool… 2010 G95 Summer Pool… 2011 G95 Summer Pool/G95 Regional Pool/G95 Regional call back pool/G95 Winter Pool… 2012 G95 State Team: Region IV and National Champions.
