Andersen, a dual threat pitcher and outfielder from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Ariz., was a four-year varsity letterwinner, and a key part of the Huskies back-to-back DI State Champion Teams in both the 2016 and '17 seasons. Through her first three years of play for the Huskies, Andersen has batted an impressive .500, while also carding an incredible 2.32 ERA. Abby has also earned First Team All-Pitcher Honors in back-to-back seasons.

- Andersen made an immediate impact for the Sun Devils during her first season of collegiate softball, pitching in some of ASU's biggest matchups of non-conference play.
- After pitching just two innings during the opening weekend of play, Anderson made her first start in ASU's win over Texas A&M
- She would go on to make 15 starts in the circle, including going the distance in six outings.
- Andersen tabbed a season high five strikeouts in a win over New Mexico State on March 8.
- Nearly made history with a no-hit bid against Lehigh on March 12, an effort that was turned away with a one-out single in the fifth.
- Ended the year with a 4.14 ERA, 10 wins, a save and 28 strikeouts.

Abby, the daughter of Richard and Jennifer Andersen has an older brother, Mason, who is a member of the Arizona State Men's Golf team. Upon enrolling at ASU, Andersen plans to pursue a degree in Criminology, Forensic Science or Business. Abby chose ASU over offers from Cal and Missouri.
