
ASU: A two-year member of the Sun Devil football program, DeLeone came to ASU as a 25-year-old junior after serving four years in the United States Coast Guard. DeLeone appeared in 21 games in his career, starting four. He totaled 17 tackles, including a pair of tackles for loss, while playing along the defensive line and on special teams. Dean earned First Team Academic All-Pac-10 honors for 2010.
2010:Started one game of the season and played in 11 overall...recorded three tackles (two solo) and one tackle for loss...made a one-yard tackle for loss Oct. 30 against Washington State...named First Team Academic All-Pac-10.
2009: Started the first three games of the season and appeared in 10 overall...finished with 14 tackles (10 solo) and one tackle for loss...recorded four solo tackles Oct. 24 against Stanford...collected a three-yard tackle for loss and a pair of solo tackles Oct. 31 vs. California.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: A 2008 graduate of Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif....played both defensive end and outside linebacker at OCC...can perform 27 repetitions of 225 pounds on the bench press and boasts a 36-inch vertical leap...incredibly speedy, and at 245 pounds he clocked a 4.44 40-yard dash time...saw action on kickoff returns as a sophomore and had a 97-yard touchdown return...rated as the No. 84 overall junior college player in the nation by Rivals.com...was named the 2008 Defensive Player of the Year for the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Division Southern Conference...tied for third in the SCFA in sacks, tied for seventh in total tackles-for-loss and ranked ninth in total tackles...led the Pirates with 78 total tackles (32 solo)...also paced the squad in tackles-for-loss (15.5), quarterback sacks (9.5) and quarterback hurries (seven)...led OCC with a 37.7-yard average on kickoff returns and added 23 total rushing yards...tied for the team lead with five pass breakups and added a forced fumble and a fumble recovery...as a freshman in 2007, he ranked second on the team with 46 tackles (32 solo), while tying for second on the squad with four sacks and added a forced fumble...chose ASU over Oregon and also was pursued by Arizona, Boise State, BYU, California and Kansas State...committed to ASU on Dec. 17, 2008...coached by Mike Taylor at Orange Coast College.

PERSONAL: Majoring in communications...his father, Tom, played football at Ohio State University and in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns.
