Jessie will look to join Sun Devils after redshirting the 2008 season with an injury. Jessie joins the Sun Devil ranks after a remarkable Junior College career where she played one season for Central Arizona and one for Mesa Community College. While at Central Arizona for her freshman season, Jessie manned third base where she was named Division Player of the Year along with First-Team All-Region and First-Team All-American. After transferring over to Mesa Community College for her sophomore season, Jessie took the corner at third base again where she continued to dominate generating First-Team All-Region and First-Team All-American accolades again. Prior to junior college, Jessie was a letterwinner in softball, basketball and track and field at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Ariz. There she was named the Fiesta Region Player of the Year and First-Team All-Region her freshman and senior years. She lists being selected to represent the USA in the summer of 2007 in the World University Games as her most exciting moment in sports.
The BIS major was born on December 25, 1986 in San Bernadino, Calif. to Ricardo DeFreitas (nursing home assistant) and Cheryl Musgrove (clerk). She has four siblings, brothers Tierney (26), Dominick (24) and Lavell (19) as well as one sister, Courtney (16). Jessie married Kerron Ware on September 24, 2006 in Las Vegas and has two children of her own, Jameela Rankin and Kyree Ware. Her full name is Jessica Jeneen Ware.
