Penn State: Attended Penn State University (State College, Pa.) for four years and competed on the Nittany Lion wrestling team for three seasons... one of the top wrestlers in the nation at 149 pounds... 2008 NCAA runner-up at 149 pounds to earn his lone All-American honor... was the sixth-seed in the 2008 tournament and defeated the No. 3, No. 7 and No. 11 wrestlers with his lone loss coming to the top-seeded Brent Metcalf (Iowa) in the final... was ranked among the Top 3 throughout the 2008-09 season and was undefeated in the regular season (22-0) before an injury hampered him... injury forced him into second place at the Big Ten Championships and an 0-2 record at the NCAA Championships... finished sixth at the 2007 Big Ten event to qualify for his first national meet, where he went 1-2 with his losses coming to No. 3 and No. 8-seeded wrestlers... earned recognition as a member of the Amateur Wrestling News All-Rookie Team.

High School: A graduate of First Colonial High School (Virginia Beach, Va.)... also attended Cox High School (Virginia Beach), the same high school that produced current Sun Devil Te Edwards and current ASU Assistant Coach Brian Stith... lettered four times each in wrestling and football... captain of the wrestling team four times and twice for the football team... top-ranked recruit at 145 pounds according to several publications following a 167-11 career... one-time Virginia state champion... five-time national champion.

Personal: Majoring in BIS... parents are Carmelo and Teresa Otero... has two siblings: brother Eric Brown and sister Unique Jenkins... born in Frankfurt, Germany... plans to one day fight in the UFC... full name is Jesse DenickIvory Jenkins.
