David Smith, a 6-2, 245-pound defensive lineman from 5A state Champion Chandler Hamilton High School has signed a letter of intent to study and play football at Arizona State University, Sun Devil head coach Dirk Koetter announced Wednesday.
Smith becomes the 23rd player in ASU's 2004 recruiting class and the eighth player signed from the state of Arizona. ASU received the Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
