STANFORD, Calif.—The Arizona State track and field distance runners wrapped up competition at the Stanford Invite on Friday at Cobb Track and Angell Field with a pair of personal bests and one new mark for the ASU record book.
Three Sun Devils ran in the 3000m steeplechase, with redshirt senior Steven Schnieders leading with a personal best time of 8:56.05, for third in his section. Redshirt sophomore Daniel Wong followed Schnieders with a personal best finish at 8:56.59, fourth in the section.
Senior Garrett Baker-Slama finished in 11th in the third section at 9:02.07.
Also for ASU, sophomore Adriana Olivas finished fourth in the second section of the 10,000m at 33:55.75. Her time is No. 5 in the ASU all-time performance list.
Redshirt sophomore Jeff Bickert also ran the 10,000m, at San Francisco State’s Distance Carnival, finishing 16th overall at 30:50.25.
Up next, the Sun Devil track and field teams will host the 35th annual Sun Angel Track Classic, April 10-12 at Sun Angel Stadium.
