NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Arizona State student-athlete Brandon Magee was named to the ninth annual Lott IMPACT Trophy’s 2012 Watch List on Monday.
Magee is among 42 student-athletes to be nominated, and one of eight Pac-12 student athletes to make the list. He is also one of 18 linebackers to have made the cut.
“Each year we are proud to present a list of college football players who exemplify the things we believe in,” said Ronnie Lott. “This group is no exception. These young men are terrific players and great role models, both on and off the field.”
Voting for the Lott IMPACT Trophy will take place throughout the season with the winner announced at the annual black-tie awards banquet on Dec. 9 at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach.
Magee, who missed last season with a torn Achilles, appeared in all 24 games his sophomore and junior years, and will be returning to redshirt his senior year. He tallied 73 tackles in the 2010 season, 48 of which were solo. The Corona, Calif. native has 118 tackles through his three-year career, with 12 tackles for loss.
