TEMPE – No. 24 Sun Devil Gymnastics continues their home stretch with a Valentine's Day conference meet against No. 4 Utah on Friday at 7 p.m. MST at Desert Financial Arena, also live on ESPN+. 

In the second of three-straight home meets, Arizona State will face off against former Pac-12 opponent and now Big 12 opponent Utah. Fans are also encouraged to bring their Valentine to Friday's meet to celebrate the holiday. There will be stations on the east concourse where fans can make Valentine's as well. There also will be a headband giveaway for the first 500 fans.

Sun Devil Outlook
No. 24 Arizona State (6-4, 1-1 Big 12)
  • The Gym Devils won their second meet in a row, taking down Texas Woman's University and producing a new season-high team score with a 196.600. Friday was the first time the Gym Devils surpassed 196 this season. 
  • Graduate Emily White took home the all-around title for a second-consecutive week, scoring a 39.400. White also won beam with a 9.875, tied with Lilia Purler on floor with a 9.875, and tied with Jada Mangahas and Sarah Clark on bars, also with a 9.875. Mangahas also won the vault title with a 9.850.
  • The Gym Devils have now scored at least a 49.000 on bars and beam in four consecutive meets and on floor in two consecutive meets. 
  • White has been a standout for the team this season. She has scored below a 9.800 just three times across all four events. She has four scores of 9.900 or better, two coming on floor. Her best score is a 9.925, which she scored on floor.
  • Graduate Jada Mangahas is the Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week after going 2 for 2 in her events by winning both titles. She won the vault title with a 9.850  (ties season high) and tied for bars with a season-high 9.875. This is the first weekly title for the team this season and Mangahas' first since her freshman year.
  • Arizona State is in the top 25 on Road to Nationals for the first time this season, checking in at No. 24.
  • The Red Rocks and Gym Devils have a long history dating back to 1977. Utah leads the head-to-head 38-11-1. Arizona State's last victory came in 2023. 

Opponent Outlook
No. 4 Utah (8-4, 4-0 Big 12)
  • The Red Rocks competed last weekend against No. 19 Arizona, putting up their second highest score of the season en route to a victory. 
  • 2020 Olympic Silver medalist Grace McCallum took home the all-around title, with Makenna Smith coming in second. The duo has been strong for Utah all season, consistently placing well in individual events and the all-around. 
  • Utah won the 2024 Pac-12 Championship in its last season in the conference. The squad then placed third in the NCAA Finals.
