The Arizona State lacrosse team (5-4, 0-3 Pac-12) looks to bounce back from a slow start in conference play in a final non-conference midweek match-up against the visiting Liberty Flames (5-2) on Tuesday. The game is slated for a 5 p.m. first draw and will be broadcasted live via Pac-12+. The game has been dubbed "First Responders Night" as the team will honor all First Responders and everything they do for the community during the game. Admission to all Sun Devil Lacrosse games is free for all fans. 

Quick Sticks
  • Junior co-captain Kerri Clayton ranks in the top-20 in the nation (T-14) for goals scored (29) through the first nine games of the season.
  • Freshman midfielder Maddy Hunter is also in the top-20 (14) in the nation for ground balls per game with 3.67. She is second in the conference in that same category.
  • Goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau has been clutch in the cage for the Sun Devils. The sophomore recorded a program record and career high 17 saves against No. 15 Colorado on March 18.
  • Clayton is second in the conference for total goals on the season with 30, just one behind the category leader. She's third in the conference in points with 39 (30 goals, 9 assists).
  • The Sun Devils continue to hold a slight +0.6 scoring margin over their opponents with a 109-104 advantage through nine games.
  • All eligible 32 players have seen playing time this season.
Scouting the Opposition
Liberty: The Flames come to Tempe after boasting a 17-8 win over Butler last Tuesday. The Flames held a 7-6 lead at half before the 10-goal offensive performance in the final 30 minutes. Junior midfielder Brianna McCaffrey recorded a hat trick in the second half while also adding a game-high six ground balls, five draw controls, a pair of caused turnovers and an assist. Junior Kayla Foster also added a hat trick for the Flames. Aubrie Tarris and Katherine Widrick split time in the cage for the Flames, recording seven total saves. As a team Liberty picked up 26 ground balls, recorded 17 draw controls, and caused 15 turnovers. 

Last Time Out
The Sun Devils struggled in their first home conference games in program history over the weekend, dropping games against Oregon and No. 15 Colorado. Against the Ducks, sophomore midfielder Avery Hamill was a bright spot for the Sun Devils, coming off the bench and recording her first career hat trick in the last 18 minutes of the game. Defensively, sophomore goalkeeper Berkeley Bonneau had great games in the cage, posting career highs in both games, including a program record 17 saves against Colorado on Sunday. Sophomore Madison Woodall also won a career high four draw controls against the Buffs. Junior co-captain and team leading-scorer Kerri Clayton recorded two goals over the weekend to bring her season total to 30.
