Ontario, Canada – Sun Devil senior-to-be Jared du Toit is slated to make his PGA Tour debut at this weekend's RBC Canadian Open, hosted at the 7.253-yard, par-72 Glenn Abbey Golf Club July 21-24.

Coverage of the 107th rendering of Canada's National Men's Open Golf Championship, kicks off Thursday afternoon via NBC's Golf Channel 4-7 p.m. (EDT).                                                                              

Du Toit, a native of Kimberley, British Columbia, joins a highly regarded field featuring some of golf's biggest names, including the event's defending champion, World No. 1 Jason Day. Du Toit will tee it up alongside a plethora of Sun Devil alumni including former teammate Jon Rahm, Chez Reavie the tournament's champion in 2008, Matt Jones, and Scott Pinckney.

Garnering exemption in the Open's final qualifier in June courtesy of capturing the 2016 Glencoe Invitational, Du Toit was granted full exemption by Golf Canada on Tuesday, July 12.
Thursday's start marks the Canuck's second professional outing of the summer season. In what has an been exceptional midsummer run for the top Canadian amateur, Du Toit most recently recorded a top-10 finish at Trans-Mississippi Amateur Championship.      
Currently a member of the Canadian National Amateur squad headed by Derek Ingram, and an intermediate representative of Glencoe Country Club, Du Toit will seek to become the first Canadian to hoist RBC Open trophy since 1954.

Du Toit, the Sun Devils top returning starter in 2016-17, will look to fill the void of departing seniors Jon Rahm, Max Rottluff, and Alberto Sanchez this coming fall.

On Wednesday, the Arizona State men's golfer received exciting news having been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Du Toit was one of 212 Division I student-athletes to be named to the honor. In order to qualify for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. The student-athlete must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
