TEMPE, Ariz. – After top two team finishes in the program's first ever competitions, Sun Devil triathlon prepares for the final race of the regular season – the West Regional Qualifier in Berkeley, Calif. on Saturday, Oct. 8.
Saturday's event will be hosted by Cal club triathlon, one of the largest and most decorated collegiate club triathlon teams in the nation.
The women's collegiate draft legal race begins at 7:30 am PT/AZ time with a 750m swim, a three-loop 20k bike ride, and a two-loop 5k run in and near the UC Aquatic Center at Berkeley Marina.
Katie Gorczyca, Charlotte Ahrens, and Delaney Bucker will compete again for the first time since Sept. 5 in Naperville, Ill., with the addition of Amy Darlington, competing for the second straight week for the Sun Devils.
As the Sun Devils have already qualified for the National Championship on Nov. 5, this race will be important preparation for the team's inaugural run at an NCAA title next month.
