TEMPE, Ariz. -- For a second consecutive outing the senior duo of
Bianca Arellano and
Whitney Follette bested No. 8 Arizona's Whitt sisters, in a three-set (21-17, 15-21, 18-16) victory, Saturday night at the PERA Club. The Sun Devils (2-2, 1-1 Pac-12) collectively fell short of the Wildcats, 3-2.

Arellano and Follette continue to shine early in the 2017 campaign, with a 3-1 record to their credit, including back-to-back wins over their conference rivals.

Oluoma Okaro and
Madison Berridge also earned a winning tally for the Maroon and Gold, cruising to a two-set sweep (21-10, 21-10). The No. 2 pair has emerged as a force for the Sun Devils, having won three consecutive matches for the Sun Devils.

Arizona jumped out to an early advantage, taking a 2-0 lead heading into wave two. The Sun Devils showed resilience, then taking two of the last three matches.

Up next, Arizona State continues play in the Sun Devil Challenge, hosting New Mexico at 11 a.m. PT before capping the weekend against Texas A&M Kingsville at 4 p.m. PT.
