@SunDevilWP Hits the Road for Triton Invitational

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The No. 8 Arizona State women's water polo team is set to hit the road for the first time this season as it heads to UCSD for the Triton Invitation. The tournament begins on Saturday at the Canyonview Aquatic Center. The Sun Devils will face No. 22 CSU Northridge in the team's first of four matches of the weekend on Saturday at 12 p.m. PST/1 p.m. MST.

ASU is off to a strong start this season after improving to 6-1 last weekend with four wins in the 2020 Cross-Conference Challenge. Through the first seven games of the season, ASU has outscored their opponents 96-36.
 

SCOUTING CSU NORTHRIDGE 

The Matadors are coming into the weekend on a winning streak spanning five-straight games. The team has an overall record of 6-2, with losses coming to UCLA and Michigan. The Sun Devils have won 11-straight games against the Matadors.
 

THE TOURNAMENT OPPONENTS

The tournament features 13 teams that are ranked in the Top 25, including MPSF opponents  No 1. USC, No. 3 UCLA and No. 19 Indiana.
