QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"We are excited to travel to Stanford and play a great golf course with a very good field," Coach Farr-Kaye remarked. "We are ready to build on our play the last two tournaments and have a great showing in Palo Alto!"
THE FIELD
The Sun Devils are no stranger to stiff competition, as they have faced the fifth-toughest schedule in the country according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. Once again, another highly-touted field presents itself at the Stanford Intercollegiate. Arizona State is one of three top-five teams and one of seven Top-15 teams competing, as host school and No. 1 ranked-Stanford highlights the field. No. 3 USC, No. 7 Florida, and No. 10 Arizona each cracked the Golfweek/Sagarin Top-10 this week while fellow Pac-12 schools No. 14 Oregon and No. 15 Oregon State make this a deep field. No. 27 Pepperdine, No. 32 UCLA, and No. 33 San Diego State will stay in the Golden state and make the trip to Stanford. Stanford Intercollegiate Field (Oct. 11-13)

The Stanford Golf Course, located in the foothills above the Stanford University campus, is home to the Stanford Men's and Women's Golf teams. The Par 71, 6,171-yard course has hosted several significant events, including the Stanford Invitational, Peg Barnard Intercollegiate, Pac-10 Championships, NCAA Western Regional, Women's NCAA Championships, USGA Junior Amateur Qualifying, and U.S. Open Qualifying. The tournament is hosted by former U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice, an avid golfer and Stanford Graduate School of Business faculty member. This will be the first of two appearances at Stanford Golf Course for the Sun Devils, as the 2020 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championships will be hosted by the Cardinal in April.
LAST TIME OUT
The Sun Devils once again put together another impressive performance, earning their second consecutive fourth-place finish to start the season at the Windy City Collegiate. Arizona State finished with the ninth-best score vs. par over 54 holes in program history, firing a 859/-5 to finish ahead of four Top-25 teams. They enjoyed their best round of the tournament and the second-best round of the day by any team on the final day, firing a 284 (-4) to move into fourth place.

The Sun Devils will be making their eighth appearance at the Stanford Intercollegiate, first competing at the event in 2009. This is the fourth time in the last five seasons that Arizona State will be a part of the field. ASU has enjoyed its fair share of success at Stanford, winning the team title five times, most recently in 2009. The Sun Devils were also victorious at the 2007, 2004, 1995, and 1982 Stanford Intercollegiate. A pair of Sun Devil legends earned individual titles at the Stanford Intercollegiate, as Heather Bowie took home the individual crown in 1995 while Brandie Burton was the champion of the 1989 event.
