TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State women's golf and head coach Missy Farr-Kaye signed Northern Ireland's Olivia Mehaffey on Thursday evening.
Mehaffey is ranked No. 3 in the European Golf Rankings and No. 12 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
“We are thrilled to have Olivia join our team in 2016 and couldn't be happier that she's going to be a Sun Devil,” head coach Missy Farr-Kaye said. “I expect her to come in and contribute to our already young talented group of women. We can't wait for her to get here."

Mehaffey has played in 11 events this year in Europe. winning three of them -- the Irish Girls' U18 Open Strokeplay Championship, the Scottish Ladies Open Championship at Royal Troon, and the Welsh Ladies Open Championship. She also has three other top-five finishes, with a third-place finish at the Ladies British Open Amateur Championship.
She has also won the Irish Girls Open Strokeplay Champion three times in her young career.
