Jennifer Jones is the Senior Director of Finance and Planning for Sun Devil Athletics at Arizona State University.
Jennifer is part of the Sun Devil Senior Management Team and oversees strategic financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and operational management for one of the nation’s premier collegiate athletics programs. She is critical in aligning fiscal strategy with institutional goals, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in financial processes to support long-term stability and growth.
Jennifer has been with ASU for 16 years, serving in various leadership roles across the university, including Learning Enterprise, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the School of Life Sciences. Her broad experience has given her a deep understanding of ASU’s mission and operations, allowing her to bring a unique and comprehensive perspective to her current role.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has built a strong reputation for her expertise in budgeting, finance, and operations management. She has successfully led large-scale financial planning initiatives, implemented process improvements that enhanced organizational efficiency, and developed collaborative frameworks supporting staff and student-athletes. Her leadership style emphasizes transparency and teamwork, enabling her to navigate the unique challenges of higher education and collegiate athletics with adaptability and foresight.
A proud Sun Devil, Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Healthy Lifestyles Coaching from the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University in 2018, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Outside of her professional life, Jennifer enjoys the beach and staying active through running and weightlifting. She and her husband are proud parents of five, four adults and one 16-year-old daughter, and reside in Chandler, AZ. As a child, she and her Dad attended Arizona Cardinals games at Mountain America Stadium, creating some of her fondest childhood memories. Today, she feels immense gratitude to be working in that space, now overseeing operations with a view of the spot where she and her Dad once sat together.
Jennifer is deeply committed to contributing to Sun Devil Athletics' legacy and takes pride in working alongside a talented team to propel ASU programs forward, both on and off the field.
