ASU: Huge, versatile lineman played three years as an offensive lineman and one season as a defensive lineman...started all 12 games at left guard in 2009 after starting all 12 games in 2008 at left tackle...played as a defensive tackle in 2007, his first year on the field for the Sun Devils, starting two games and recording 20 tackles...played in 41 of 49 games the last four seasons...the only player on the team who has made starts on both offense and defense in his ASU career...graduated with a B.A.E. in special education.

2010 : Appeared in four games due to injury...played against Washington State, Stanford, UCLA and Arizona.

2009: Switched to left guard and started all 12 games at that position...made his first career start at left guard Sept. 5 vs. Idaho State...is one of two offensive lineman who started every game at the same position...joined left tackle Shawn Lauvao to form a solid and consistent left side of the line...collected a solo tackle Oct. 10 against Washington State.

2008: Started all 12 games at left tackle, in his first year as an offensive lineman...one of four Sun Devil offensive linemen to start every game during the season, and one of three, along with right guard Paul Fanaika and center Thomas Altieri, to start at the same spot in each game...helped protect the blind side of quarterback Rudy Carpenter, who started all 12 games...was one of six Sun Devils to make their first career start on the offensive line during the 2008 season, along with Altieri, junior Tom Njunge and freshmen Garth Gerhart, Zach Schlink and Adam Tello...earned Hard Hat player recognition for his work in ASU's offseason strength and conditioning program, placing in the top 10 in overall points.

2007: Played in all 13 games...started at defensive tackle in win over Oregon State on Sept. 22 and victory at Stanford on Sept. 29...finished the season with 20 tackles (nine solo)...also had three tackles for loss (minus 14 yards), 1.5 sacks (minus 10 yards), one pass break-up and one forced fumble...had three tackles each in his starts against Oregon State and Stanford...recorded two tackles and forced a fumble in victory over UCLA on Nov. 10...his performance in that game earned him a spot on the year's All-Mayday Team, which is labeled as a collection of the toughest of the tough in college football and is selected by ESPN's Mark May, as he injured his shoulder early in the game but returned to help ASU defeat the Bruins...had a nine-yard sack of Arizona quarterback Willie Tuitama in the third quarter of ASU's win over the Wildcats on Dec. 1.

2006: Redshirted as a member of ASU's scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz...listed as the No. 3 player in the state of Arizona by SuperPrep...rated as the No. 49 defensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com...listed as the No. 10 player in the state of Arizona by Rivals.com...won the 2005 Curley Culp Award for the outstanding high school defensive lineman in the state of Arizona, named in honor of the former Sun Devil lineman...selected to the Arizona Republic's All-Arizona First-Team Football Team on defense in 2004 and 2005...also made the Class 5A All-State first-team...was a 2003, 2004 and 2005 East Valley All-Region first-team selection...was the 2004 East Valley Region Defensive Player of the Year...three-time all-region first-team selection...senior statistics included 81 tackles, four quarterback sacks and one fumble recovery...junior statistics included 81 tackles, 10 quarterback hurries, five quarterback sacks, two forced fumbles and one blocked field goal...was the only junior in 2004 to receive first-team Arizona Republic 5A all-state honors....lettered twice in track and field...coached by Jim Jones.
