2012 (Junior): Was a First Team Pac-12 All-Conference selection...earned Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger All-America Second Team honors...named to College Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher of the Year Watch List...finished the year with a 10-3 record and a 2.27 ERA, fifth best in the Pac-12...led the team in innings pitched with a career-high 115, which was second best in the conference, and strikeouts with 79, seventh best in the Pac-12......walked 16 batters for 1.25 walks allowed per nine innings...made a team-high 15 starts...had three complete games and began the year with 23 consecutive scoreless innings, which is sixth best in school history...went the distance in back-to-back games after allowing one earned run in a win over Cal on March 23 and giving up one earned run in a loss to Oregon on March 31... also went nine innings in an extra-innings loss to UCLA...pitched eight or more innings in 10 of his 15 starts, including a 8 1/3 shutout frames at Arizona in his final collegiate start...named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week for March 26...part of a pitching staff that finished in the top 10 in Div. High School: A 2009 graduate of Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas...a four-time All-District choice...earned All-State honors in junior and senior years...three-time Fort Bend Herald Pitcher of the Year...won 34 career games and struck out 376 batters in his high school career...struck out 16 batters in a no-hitter during his senior year...also fanned 10 in a perfect game.
