Marisa Stankiewicz Season 2018

Redshirt Senior (2018):

• The senior is one of three Sun Devils to have started all 51 games in the 2018 season.
   
• Is fifth on the team In slugging percentage (.509) and fourth in on-base percentage (.437).
   
• Has eight home runs in 2018 which is a career high and 29 walks which tops her 26 in 2017.
   
• Stankiewicz was Player of the Week the week of April 2^nd where she led ASU at the plate, blasting three home runs and recording seven RBI en rout to an astronomical 2.000 slugging percentage.

Redshirt Junior (2017):

• Worked her way into being the Sun Devils' everyday second baseman, playing, and starting in all 52 games in 2017

• Recorded four multi-hit games in 2017, including two games with three hits (Oregon State, 3/25, and at Stanford, 4/14)
   
• Laced six doubles on the year, a new career high
   
• Launched five home runs in 2017
   
• Ended the season with a .213 batting average

Redshirt Sophomore (2016):

• Played in 22 games for ASU, appearing mostly as a pinch runner.

• Scored five runs and drew two walks on the season.

Redshirt Freshman (2015): 

• Appeared in 43 games, scoring 17 times.

• Recorded her first hit and RBI of her career against Binghamton on Feb. 28.

Freshman (2014):

• Redshirted her true-freshman year.

High School: 

• Local product out of Gilbert High School, hit .458 as a senior with 39 runs scored and a .673 slugging percentage.
   
• Helped lead her team to a 5A-1 final four in 2011 and was named to the Gilbert All-District Team and All-Tribune Second Team last year.
   
• Played club ball for Arizona Killer Bees for coach Mike Grimaldi.
   
• Was the captain of her Gilbert team as a junior and senior and was captain of the cheerleading squad both seasons as well.
   
• Named Top-50 Best in the West in 2013 and was a second-team All-State selection...

Personal: Born Dec. 29, 1994 to Andy and Mariana Stankiewicz in Phoenix, Ariz. ... Her brother, Drew, plays for the Phillies organization... Father, Andy, played at Pepperdine and went on to a seven-year career of professional baseball and was a former assistant coach at ASU (2007-09), winning two Pac-10 titles...Plans on majoring in Health and Wellness...
