Senior (2018)

  • Had a season high of 10 strikeouts against Costal Carolina on March 2nd
     
  • Has only allowed 100 hits, 37 runs, and 25 walks in her 481 batters faced which are the careers lows in her four years at ASU
     
  • The senior has only given up 11 home runs in the 2018 season which is just two more than she allowed in the 2017 season.

Junior (2017):

  • Named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team following the 2017 season
     
  • Carded an impressive 2.22 ERA in her 2017 campaign, a massive improvement from her 5.13 ERA in 2016
     
  • Recorded a team-high 12 wins in 2017, while adding two saves.  
     
  • Had a season high nine strikeouts against South Carolina on March 4
     
  • Allowed just 126 hits to the 494 batters faced this season
     
  • Allowed just four hits in seven innings to Notre Dame on Feb. 24
     
  • Pitched a complete game in the Sun Devils' opening round game of the 2017 Oxford Regional, a 9-3 ASU victory over North Carolina 


Sophomore (2016):

  • Pitched 4.0 innings of scoreless ball in the second game of the Texas Tech series (3/24).
  • Pitched a two-hit shutout against Georgetown (3/11).
  • Was 1-0 at the Littlewood Classic, pitched a four-hit shutout against Northern Iowa in five innings of action before being lifted.

  • Earned a save in the opening game of the weekend against Michigan State, pitching three shutout innings and allowing just one hit while striking out two.

  • Went 3-1 in the opening weekend of action with a 2.21 ERA.

  • Pitched a gem in four innings of relief against No. 8 Tennessee, striking out six and allowing no earned runs to pick up the victory in extra innings.


Freshman (2015):

  • Led the team in wins with 18, strikeouts with 152 while posting a 3.69 ERA - the fifth-lowest total in the Pac-12 among pitchers with 40 or more appearances.

  • Her 212.1 innings pitched her second most in the conference while her 152 strikeouts were good for fourth. She was third in the conference with five saves as well.

  • Earned All-Pac-12 Conference Honorable Mention accolades and was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. Also earned NFCA All-West Region honors as a pitcher.

  • Pitched six innings of shutout ball, allowing just one hit while striking out eight in her first career start -- and win -- as a Sun Devil against Western Michigan.

  • Pitched a complete game against Illinois State on Feb 13th, striking out nine along the way for her third win of the season.

  • On Feb. 27, Macha threw her first no-hitter as a Sun Devil, making history as the only ASU pitcher to do so in an extra inning ball game (8 innings against Binghamton). 

  • Beat top-10 teams in back-to-back starts in the Judi Garman Classic, knocking off No. 3 Michigan with a 5-hit shutout in eight innings, and beating No. 9 Baylor allowing just two runs over her seven innings of work. She was named the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Week as a result. 

  • Picked up two wins over California in the first Pac-12 home series of 2015.

  • After giving up four runs in the first two innings against Oregon on April 12, Macha buckled down and threw four innings of shutout ball, holding Oregon to just two hits with four strikeouts and a single walk. It ultimately would not be enough as ASU fell 4-3. 

  • Worked 2.2 scoreless innings of relief in the final game against Oregon State, earning the win in the crucial rubber match of the series.

  • Pitched two complete games in the Utah series, picking up one win, and the other a losng effort. In the first game, she allowed four runs on four hits and one walk to go with six strikeouts for the win. In the final game of the series, she scattered 12 hits, allowing three earned runs while striking out five in the loss.

  • Got her 15th win of the season after throwing four scoreless innings, allowing just one hit against Stanford in the 20-0 win on May 1.

  • Got her 16th win over No. 8 UCLA giving up only three earned runs in her four innings pitched on May 7.
  • At the Baton Rouge Regional, Macha threw 385 pitches over three days and four games and finished with a 1.75 ERA with 15 strikeouts to just four walks and no home runs allowed, earning All-Regional honors in the process.

  • Was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on March 9, 2015.
     
  • Was voted Newcomer of the Year by her teammates on May 10, 2015


High School:

  • The 5-foot-6 senior right-handed pitcher and first baseman Macha posted a 22-5 record in the circle as a senior along with a 1.02 ERA, leading the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (30-6-1) to their fifth straight Division I state championship and the fourth consecutive title with her serving as the team’s ace.

  • Macha struck out 256 batters and walked 40 in 186 innings pitched. At the plate, she batted .365 with four home runs, 23 RBI and a .563 slugging percentage.

  • A two-time First Team All-Arizona selection, she was the winning pitcher in the state championship game all four years of high school.

  • Macha was named an ESPNHS Softball First Team All-American as a sophomore as a multi-purpose player (hitting, pitching, fielding) and was named an All-Arizona first team selection by the Arizona Republic.

  • She went 14-2 as a pitcher with a 1.24 ERA as a sophomore while logging a .440 batting average at the plate with 47 RBIs and 10 home runs.

  • She would go on to lead Red Mountain to its third consecutive state title in 2013 and was named an Arizona Republic First Team All-State selection as a utility player as a junior.  Red Mountain finished as the No. 1 team in the final Fab 50 rankings after going 33-5.

  • Macha was one of the most highly recruited pitchers in the nation and has been named to just about every state First Team selection list available. She was a nominee for the Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Macha was listed as #70 in studentsports.com’s  Hot 100 Seniors. 

  • In her final season, Macha had a record of 22-5 with a 1.02 ERA and 256 strikeouts in 186 innings pitched.  She also had a .365 batting average that year.


Personal:
Macha is the daughter of William and Jane Macha and plans to major in exercise and wellness. She has three sisters, Melissa (22), Ashley (27) and Christina (30).  She played for the Arizona Firecrackers under coach Randy Kaye. She was a bat girl for Arizona State when she was younger. Macha maintained a 3.25 GPA in the classroom in high school. A volunteer with the Red Mountain High audio-visual department, she has donated her time locally to a food bank and homeless shelter and as a youth softball coach and umpire.
