SHANNON’S CAREER IN NUMBERS: Shannon Evans II closed his Sun Devil career as one of the best two-year players in Sun Devil history. He joined James Harden, Jahii Carson and Bobby Lazor as 1,000-point (1,023) Sun Devil two-year scorers, and is the top free throw shooter in Sun Devil history, making 222-of-263 (.844). Among two-year Sun Devils also finished in top-10 in scoring average (15.7/eighth), field goals (317/ninth), free throws made (222/sixth), and assists (256/sixth). His 95 three-pointers made and 256 three-pointers attempted in 2017-18 both ended fourth on the ASU single-season three-point charts.

NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: The USBWA selected Shannon Evans II as its Dec. 10, 2017, Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week. As the Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week, Evans was chosen by a representative of the USBWA board of directors. He had 18 points, six rebounds and six assists in 82-70 win over St. John's in Los Angeles on Dec. 8. Less than 48 hours later, the Suffolk, Va. native hit five 3-pointers en route to 22 points along with five assists and no turnovers as ASU won at No. 2 Kansas. He averaged 20.0 points on 52 percent field goal shooting (13-25), including 53 percent behind the arc (8-15), and 5.5 assists with an 11-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

--Earned his B.S. in communications from ASU in summer of 2017.

--High energy and goes from baseline to baseline super fast. Makes his free throws, rarely gets tired and uses his left hand in the lane very well.

--Played some football in high school.

--Made his first 20 free throws to start the 2016-17 season.

--Was a member of the NCAA All-America practice squad in 2015-16, as after helping lead Buffalo to the 2015 NCAA Tournament he came west and sat that season.

--Had a dozen 20-point games in 2017-18 that included 22 vs. No. 15 Xavier and at No. 2 Kansas. Also had 23 vs. UCLA.

--Had nine 20-point games in 2016-17, averaged 15 points and 4.4 assists (tied for fourth in Pac-12) and shot .833 from the free throw line (100-of-120) which was tied for second in the league. His 2.3 assist/turnover ratio was fifth-best in the league and was second in the league in minutes per game at 35.7 (overall games) and 36.7 in Pac-12 games.
 
UNIVERSITY OF BUFFALO (2013-15)
--Averaged 15.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 2014-15 in leading Buffalo to the NCAA Tournament.

--Was team’s second-leading scorer and earned second-team All-MAC honors.

--Played in all 29 games for Buffalo off the bench in freshman season, but averaged 26.4 minutes per game, one of the top minutes per game reserve players in the nation.
 
PRIOR TO BUFFALO
--Attended Nansemond River (Hargrave Academy) in Suffolk, Virginia, and led the Warriors to a 22-4 record as a senior averaging 19 points, six boards and five assists. Also earned three letters in football

--Earned All-Conference and All-City honors while playing for A.W. Hamilton and once had 12 three-pointers in a game.

--Born in July of 1994 and is the son on Shannon and Armona Evans.
