Manhattan, KS Down but never out, Sun Devil Women's Tennis (11-5, 6-2 Big 12) defeated Kansas State (7-7, 3-3 Big 12) 4-3 by winning four of the last five singles matches Sunday afternoon at Mike Goss Tennis Stadium, completing a 3-1 comeback.

Freshman Lily Taylor clinched the victory for the Sun Devils in three hard-fought sets. It's her first win coming in three sets this season and her seventh win of the year defeating Maria Santos 4-6, 6-0, 6-4. The win gives the Sun Devils their sixth victory in conference play.

For the Sun Devils, it's their second win this season when losing the doubles point, and the team moves to 8-1 when Sara Svetac and Karin Altori win their doubles match.

Freshman Aiya Nupbay got her second win of the weekend winning in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Its her fourth singles win this spring to keep her unbeaten. She gave the Sun Devils their first point of the match.

Spaka and Evans both fell in straight sets on courts 3 and 5, which gave the Wildcats a 3-1 lead.

From the No. 1 spot, Sara Svetac was down 2-5 early in the opening set, but she battled back to force a tiebreaker and won the first set 7-6, winning the tiebreak 7-5. She then grinded out the second set, winning it 7-5 to secure ASU's second point, keeping them alive in the match.

Sophomore Emilija Tverijonaite recorded a shutout in the opening set for the second straight match, winning 6-0. Then dropped the second set, but battled in the third to clinch the Sun Devils third point to tie the match 3-3. 

In doubles, Karin Altori and Svetacs earned a 6-3 win moving to 9-5 as a doubles pairs this season. Tverijonaite and Nupbay had their three match winning streak snapped, falling 3-6, and Spaka and Taylor fell on court one, 4-6.
