Two Texas Showdowns on Tap for No. 32 Men's Tennis

WACO – No. 32 Sun Devil Men's Tennis (9-6) has two matchups in the Lone Star State to start a stretch of Big 12 play. First, ASU will face No. 17 Baylor (13-7) on Friday, March 21 before heading to Fort Worth to face No. 2 TCU (13-2) on Sunday, March 23. Friday's contest kicks off at 4 p.m. MST and Sunday's follows at 11 a.m. MST. 

Both matches will be streamed via the home team's Playsight. Live stats will also be available on Sidearm and Stat broadcast. 

SUN DEVIL NOTABLES (9-6)

• ASU defeated then-No. 14 Baylor in the UTR College Championships, 4-3 last weekend. 
• Bor Artnak is the reigning Big 12 Men's Player of the Week.
• Two singles players are ranked for ASU: Bor Artnak (#50) and Mathis Bondaz (#110). Both went undefeated in singles play last weekend.
• The ranked pairs for the Sun Devils consist of Bor Artnal/Matic Dimic (#48) and Bor Artnak/Daniel Phillips (#66).
• Have won their last three matches. 

PREVIEWING THE BEARS (13-7)

• Hang on to a 9-5 record at home this season.
• Friday will mark their first Big 12 match of the year.
• Baylor has four ranked doubles pairs in the most recent ITA Polls. Marko Miladinovick/Oscar Brostrom Poulson (#17), Zsombor Velcz/Devin Badenhorst (#42), Zsombor Velcz/Oscar Brostrom Poulson (#55), and Devin Badenhorst/Luc Koenig (#80). 
• Devin Badenhorst (#40), Oscar Brostrom Poulson (#101), and Zsombor Velcz (#103) are all ranked in the ITA Singles poll.

PREVIEWING THE HORNED FROGS (13-2)

• Checked in at No. 2 in the polls.
• Undefeated at home this season, with seven wins. 
• Pedro Vives (#2),  Jack Pinnington (#15), Lui Maxted (#20), and, Cooper Woestendick (#72) all checked in ranked in this week's singles polls. 
• TCU is home to the #1 ranked doubles pair in Pedro Vives and Lui Maxted. Their duo of Jack Pinnington and Cooper Woestendick is also ranked #56.
