They knew it already, but the Sun Devil men's basketball team was able to see just how much of a legend its head coach is when ASU visited Cameron Sunday night for a charity exhibition.
Coach Hurley -- with two NCAA titles, a 1992 Final Four Most Outstanding Player and a NCAA record 1,076 career assists in his -- was honored at the Brotherhood Run tilt, as the Blue Devils topped ASU xx-xx.
Basheer Jihad led ASU with 11 off the bench, while freshman Jayden Quaintance had 11.
Duke was 2-of-11 from the three-point stripe in the first half, but heated up in the second to stretch a 37-21 halftime lead.

Bobby Hurley was inducted into the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011 and is part of a select group to have their jersey retired in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The #11 jersey was hung in the rafters by Duke on Feb. 28, 1993. While a Blue Devil, he broke the NCAA men's basketball record for career assists with 1,076 and sparked the Blue Devils to a four-year record of 119-26 (.821) with three Final Four appearances and back-to-back national championships in 1991 and 1992. In addition to his record-breaking assists, he was named the 1992 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player in addition to being a two-time All-America selection (1992, 1993). He finished his illustrious Duke career with 1,731 points, 306 rebounds and 202 steals from 1989-93.
