ROCHESTER, Minn. – Five current Sun Devil wrestlers and two alums will compete at Junior and Senior Freestyle World Team Trials in Rochester, Minn. this weekend at the RCTC Regional Sports Center.
Kordell Norfleet, Cade Belshay, and Brandon Courtney will compete at the Junior level while Zahid Valencia and Tanner Hall will compete at the Senior level, the first year at Senior level for Valencia.
Z. Valencia qualified at 79 kg by virtue of winning the 2018 NCAA championship at 174 lbs. Valencia won a silver medal at the Junior Level in 2017.
Courtney (57 kg) and Norfleet (86 kg) qualified with a first and fourth place, respectively, at April's US Open at the Junior level while Hall (125 kg) qualified at the same tournament with a sixth-place finish at the Senior level. Belshay (92 kg) will also compete at the Junior level.
Alums Kevin Radford (87 kg) and Kelsey Campbell (59 kg) will compete at the men's and women's senior levels, respectively.
