RALEIGH, N.C. – The fourth-seeded @SunDevilMGolf squad sits in sixth place heading into the final round of the #NCAAGolf Regional in Raleigh, N.C.
The Devils shot 1-under on the par-71/7,273 yard course on Tuesday. Once again sophomore Chun An Yu led ASU, carding three birdies on the day, as he is tied for sixth with Jake Shuman from Duke at 7-under 135.
Freshman Koichiro Ishika showed immense improvement in round two, shooting 4-under 67. Ishika tallied seven birdies and is tied for 11th with Missouri's Hayden Buckley heading into the final day.
On the day, freshman Mason Andersen and sophomore Blake Wagoner both notched 3-over 73, while Andersen and sophomore Alex del Rey both recorded four birdies each. After two rounds, Andersen, Wagoner, and del Rey are all tied at 33rd, 50th, and 54th respectively.
ASU (559) is within six strokes of being in the top three heading into the last round of the tournament. The Sun Devils tee off Wednesday (May 16_ from Lonnie Poole Golf Course at 7:30 a.m. ET (4:30 a.m. in Arizona) paired with No. 4 Georgia Tech and No. 40 Liberty.

ABOUT THE REGIONAL: The NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee put Arizona State as the fourth seed in Raleigh for the May 14-16 54-hole regional, one of six 54-hole regional tournaments. Thirteen teams and ten individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals. Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Oklahoma State University is the host institution for the 2018 championships.
