"It's an exciting day for Arizona State Basketball. We welcome Taeshon Cherry to the family," says Sun Devil head coach Bobby Hurley, who led ASU to a No. 3 ranking (tied for best in school history) in 2017-18.  "Taeshon will make an immediate impact with his versatile offensive skill set and relentless motor but most importantly winning is what he values the most. Sun Devil Nation will enjoy watching one of the best frontcourt players in the 2018 class in Maroon and Gold next season."
The signing of Cherry means Bobby Hurley will have three top-55 players in the 2018 freshman class. In the previous 15 seasons, only five other Sun Devil signees have been ranked that high. He joins Lugeuntz Dort (No. 29) and Elias Valtonen (No. 55) as Sun Devil freshmen in 2018-19.   24/7 SPORTS/SCOUT SUN DEVIL TOP-60 RECRUITS (2002-PRESENT)
