NAPA, Calif. – No. 10 Arizona State women's golf concluded the 2017-18 regular season at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif. with a ninth-place finish, moving up seven places from the first round.
Olivia Mehaffey earned her third consecutive top-10 finish, seventh of the season, and her highest finish (T5th) since sharing individual medalist honors at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge to begin the spring season.
"Overall, we did a lot of things well this week – finishing in the top-10 in a very strong field with only four players is a great accomplishment as well as another great finish for Olivia in the top-5. Roberta really hit the ball very well the last two days and Raquel played very solid the last two days as well," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "This concludes our regular season and we are excited to start the postseason with Sophia back in the lineup."
Senior Roberta Liti shot her lowest round of the weekend, a 2-under 70, while freshman Raquel Olmos tied Liti for 34th overall.
Olmos, Zeeb, and Liti each tallied a top-10 finish this season while Mehaffey garnered seven. As a team, the Sun Devils earned seven top-5 finishes in 10 tournaments.
The Pac-12 Championships will take place in just over a week (Apr. 22-24) in Seattle while NCAA Regionals will take place two weeks later (location TBD). The top finishers at Regionals will advance to NCAA Championships in mid-May (May 18-23).
