TEMPE, Ariz. – The No. 8 Sun Devils improved upon their team score from Friday by 16 strokes and shot the second-lowest score of the day (282) to move up four spots into sixth after two rounds of the PING/ASU Invitational at ASU Karsten Golf Course.
"I love how we competed today," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "We improved by 16 shots, which is a tremendous improvement. We were much more assertive today and fought to the finish and our goal is to do the same tomorrow!"
Senior Roberta Liti moved up significantly with a 4-under 68 (one stroke off her career low) to lead the Sun Devils, currently tied for 12th, followed closely by sophomore Olivia Mehaffey who shot a 1-under 71 on Saturday.
Raquel Olmos is also just inside the top-25 (T23), shooting a new career low 70 on day two, while Madison Kerley and Sophia Zeeb shot a 73 and 76, respectively, in the second round.
Oklahoma State moved into the top spot followed by Washington and TCU in the top three. ASU is just 11 strokes out of the lead going into the final day.
ASU tees off between 8:15-8:51 am on hole one on Sunday, paired with Arizona and Oregon. Tournament play starts a half hour earlier on the final day, starting at 7:30 am. Tee times for the Sun Devils are as follows:

Sophia Zeeb – 8:24 am
Raquel Olmos – 8:33 am
