Orlando, Fla. - Linnea Strom had another strong outing in round two of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, shooting two-under-par (70) on the day, eight under par overall for the tournament.
Strom is just three strokes from a current two-way tie for first between UCLA's Lilia Vu and Georgia's Bailey Tardy.
Freshman Olivia Mehaffey birdied two holes apiece on the front and back nine and, currently in the top half of the standings, looks to move up on the final day.
A weather delay plagued the afternoon but the Sun Devils were able to finish play prior to the stoppage.
"Linnea had another solid round, barely missing some more birdie opportunities," said Missy Farr-Kaye. "Olivia hung in there, finishing strong. I am confident that this team will compete hard tomorrow and work to make our last day of competition great."
UCLA moved into the top spot after two rounds, shooting 16-under-par today and 25-under overall.
The Sun Devils finish play for the weekend on Tuesday, Sept. 27 with teams starting from 7-8:30 am ET (5-6:30 am AZ time).
