TEMPE, Ariz. – Sixteen Sun Devil women's basketball games will be televised by Pac-12 Networks during the 2016-17 season, according to an announcement by Pac-12 Networks on Wednesday.

In addition to the 16 games they will have televised across all seven of the conference's networks, the Sun Devils, regular season co-champions of the Pac-12 last season, will also appear on SEC Network (Dec. 11 game at Kentucky), bringing their total to 17 television appearances this season.

Notes on Sun Devil WBB's Pac-12 Schedule
  • The Sun Devils will play a home-and-home series against seven Pac-12 schools and will play a single game against Utah (Fri., Jan. 6 in Salt Lake City), Colorado (Sun., Jan. 8 in Boulder, Colo.), 2016 Final Four Participant Oregon State (Fri., Feb. 3 in Tempe) and Oregon (Sun., Feb. 5 in Tempe).
  • Both of ASU's meetings vs. 2016 Final Four participant Washington – Sun., Jan. 15 in Tempe and Sun., Feb. 12 in Seattle – will be featured as the Pac-12's Game of the Week.
  • For the second straight season the Sun Devils will open the conference slate hosting the Bay Area schools: vs. Stanford on Fri., Dec. 30 and vs. Cal on New Year's Day.
  • ASU's journey to Northern California for its rematches against Cal (Fri., Jan, 20) and Stanford (Sun., Jan. 22) will be the first of consecutive weekends on the road. The Sun Devils conclude the stretch the following weekend in Southern California when they take on UCLA (Fri., Jan. 27) and USC (Sun., Jan. 29).
  • ASU's annual Territorial Cup Series games vs. Arizona will take place the third weekend in February. As has been the case in recent years, both contests will occur the same week with the first game taking place in Tucson on Fri., Feb. 17 and the rematch in Tempe on Sun., Jan. 19.
  • ASU's game vs. Arizona on Feb. 19 will be the first of three straight the Sun Devils will play at home to close out the regular season. The Sun Devils will host USC (Fri., Feb. 24) and UCLA (Sun., Feb. 26). The game against the Bruins will be Senior Day.
  • The only Pac-12 games ASU will not have televised will be its two meetings against Washington State. The first meeting will take place on Fri., Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. MT and will be ASU's annual Sparky's Kids to College Field Trip Game. The rematch against the Cougars will take place on the front end of the Sun Devils trip to the state of Washington (Fri., Feb. 10).
The Pac-12 is coming off a season in which it distinguished itself as the nation's best in women's college basketball. Five teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament, including two that made it to the NCAA Women's Final Four and two other teams earned postseason berths in the WNIT.

ASU will prepare for the rigors of Pac-12 play with an 11-game non-conference schedule that includes five teams that qualified for postseason play in 2016. The Sun Devils will kick off their 2016-17 campaign on Fri., Nov. 11 when they host Illinois State. They will conclude the opening weekend of the season on Sun., Nov. 13 when they host San Jose State in the program's second annual #KeepTheBeat heart-health awareness game.

The Sun Devils return three senior starters – posts Sophie Brunner, Quinn Dornstauder and Kelsey Moos – from the 2015-16 squad that captured a share of the Pac-12 regular season title, won 26 games (tied for third-highest win total in program history) and went on to earn a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the highest placement in program history. In addition to the aforementioned senior starters, 2016 Pac-12 Coach of the Year Charli Turner Thorne will also welcome a five-member freshman class – Sydney Goodson, Reili Richardson, Jamie Ruden, Kiara Russell and Robbi Ryan – that was ranked among the nation's top 10 signing classes when it was announced last fall, and Sara Hattis, a graduate post who will be eligible to play this season after transferring to ASU from the University of Texas in May.
