TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State senior Tim White has been selected to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for Week Six, following his impressive performance during the Sun Devil's thrilling 23-20 win over UCLA at Sun Devils Stadium Saturday.
The Paul Hornung Award, presented by Texas Roadhouse, is annually awarded to the most versatile player in major college football. The winner of this year's award and his family will be honored on March 7, 2017, at a banquet presented by KentuckyOne Health at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville, Ky.
The Santa Clara, Calif., native accounted for nearly 200 all-purpose yards, including 123 receiving yards, in ASU's 23-20 win. He became a regular target for freshman quarterback Brady White, who was making his first career start for the Sun Devils. White hauled in 11 receptions on 17 targets on the night, and added crucial yards on special teams. White contributed three plays of 10 or more yards, connecting on plays of 17, 20 and 30 yards.
The Devils are now 5-1 on the season, including a 2-1 mark in PAC-12 play.
White is joined in the weekly award list by Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara, USC defensive back Adoree' Jackson and Michigan linebacker Jabrill Peppers.
